Thank you Mr. or Mrs Congress for your loving time . My name is Shawn Thomas that lives in Hamilton Co. Ohio want to start a petition on that child support money card because as a non-custodial parent i would like to know where my money is spent and if its being spent on my children. Today's people will spend the money on drugs,gambling,out on dates,other peoples kids,other family members,clothes not for the children and other things that i can't even imagine.So i will like to see a change in this system by monitoring what is bought off this card , this card should not have (CASH-MONEY )excess at all. The non-custodial parent(s) should receive a monthly statement (like the banks give you when you bank with them )to see where and how their children is being took of care by the custodial parent(s),its our duty to make sure that our children are getting the best care for their future ! i agree because u have too look at the incomes of both parties as if the parents were raising the children together...but if the custodial parent is receiveing the money then why shouldnt both parents decide how it is spent on the children?...document...document....document......we all have to show where our money goes in order for cusodial parent to receive it so why cant the custodial parent show how they spend it
I think that is a perfect idea!! So many men would be much happier knowing that the money was actually spent on their child and not the CP's new husband or new children.
I support a money card 100%. We have the technology. I am in a situation where my ex is not providing my two children a place of their own and living with the grandparents. She owes money back to a bank for an embezzlement which was the reason for my divorce. Her actions were pre-planned and she knew what she was doing. My child support payment is not going to the kids but instead to her delinquencies. Non-custodial parents should have more rights such as a money card for monitoring and making sure their children are provided with the care they need.
I support this money card 100%. I am a very active father in my child's life, and I only want the best. I have always had concerns about is he really being taken care of the way he should, but their is no rights for fathers in today's society, however, I think they are making some changes on this. It bothers me to see my child come every week with pink toed socks that are so dirty they are stiff. Ear wax so deep in his ears its running out on the side of his face and yes this truly happens. Never gets him hair cuts, always looks unkept and slouchy. Like he has dressed himself. He always has an odor. Toenails so long that his shoes hurt. You better believe she is driving a $50,000.00 mini van with remote doors that open and yes she is always dressed nicely and she she has on a winter coat and he does not on numerous occasions. These are not grounds for going back to court and suing her again so she can up my child support even more. I have maintained insurance on his since birth as well as she has a medical card and receives food stamps. How in the world can you get benefits from the government and drive vehicles like that? I am a firm believer in paying child support and taking care of my kid. I am also a firm believer in the money going for the child and his needs whether it be to pay a water bill or to pay on a house payment whatever the situation maybe. I also think he should have nice clothes, shoes and decent socks to wear. Not whatever she needs or wants. my child support is 250.0 a paycheck i get paid every 2 weeks and i struggle everyday to make ends meat with me and my wife both working. The child support is not the problem. The problem is its not going to him properly and I am still left to pay whatever else he needs, school functions, school pics, lunch money for school, deodorant, soap, shampoo, clothes, underwear, socks, etc. whatever he needs I still have to provide this for him, and I will continue to do so until I can't. I just want my child to be taken care of as I would take care of him.
If you are a guarding appointed by the court you are required to account for expenditures, why do these recipients of child support not have to?
Shawn M. T. I feel for your grief. However child support is not only for food and clothes, it is for SHELTER also. The custodial parent can easily use the card to pay for rent if need be and what is your argument then?? Child Support is definitely overated and if you look at other partitions here you will see where there are better defined reasons for support abuse. We have to pay support and it is neither here nor there where and how it is spent. The issue is can support be regulated that suits both parents that doesn't make it an unfair situation. In most cases the the custodial parent always benefits greatly and this is the biggest problem because the children suffer not being able to have an equal lifestyle with either parent.
Please see to this in Hamilton Co. Ohio we need to step up to the plate and get our rights back as a Father/Dad !
