My ninth grader, Evan Wisniewski, was given this toxic drug on the last day of his FRESHMAN YEAR OF HIGH SCHOOL.
He was a beautiful guy, with a great big heart..especially when it came to protecting others. He would stand up to bullies...and I believe that I have to stand up to the Pharmaceutical Companies and beg them. fight them and insist that this highly toxic drug is either taken off the market or HIGHLY REGULATED.
In my son's case, this woman was giving out her drug after obtaining it from a clinic that hands it out to the "trustworthy" drug addicts on Fridays.
Who thought that one up????? Which drug addict get's to be trusted with hundreds of ML's of a deadly drug on a FRIDAY NIGHT!!!! Wow...real smart thinking there. Oh yeah...they earned it.
Apparently they certainly did not chose wisely with Lindsey LaTourette...because not only did she kill my son, she gave it our to 14 and 15 year olds in our little community. Thank God none of the others died...but she let Evan die.

One of his best friends was tricked by Lindsey into taking it, described to her as an ENERGY DRINK. Thank God Kayla did not die too. But she felt like she was going to have a heart attack.
If one pill can kill our loved ones...then that drug should be eliminated. It is insanity that has ruined my life, broken my heart, destroyed our family (and hers) and....
MY BEAUTIFUL SON WILL NEVER GRADUATE, GO TO COLLEGE, GET MARRIED, HAVE A FAMILY....AND THE WORST THING AFTER LOSING HIS OWN LIFE is the impact it has on all of us that are left to deal with the hole when we have any kind of holiday, birthday, or occasion.

I lost my mother April 14, 2010 because of methadone. My mother was just getting ready to turn 50. She had no need to be put on methadone. She was on a high dose of it. This pill needs to be out. This is the hardest thing that I will ever have to do at 23 years old. I want justice and I am going to do everything I can to get justice for my mom and make this pill go off the market. No one knows how much I miss my mom and it wasn't her time to go. This drug needs to be off and stop killing people.

My 34 year old son died from the effects of methadone prescribed with two other central nervous system depressants. I'm sure the long half-life of methadone was responsible.
I was put on methadone for pain management almost a year ago. I was never told the facts abt the drug. I would have never thought that I would be addicted to anything and now here I am worried abt taking them but if I dont I can barely get out of bed. hopefully this will pass so noone else will have to go through what i am now.

My 15 year old grandson was killed by a 23 year old woman who gave him some of her weekend supply. She is now serving up to 4 years for killing him. Not enough time for this crime.
I lost my mother in 2004 due to methadone toxicity. She was prescribed methadone for pain control and she died after only 2 weeks of taking it. This drug is a killer and it needs tighter regulation.
My daughters father, my best friend. A man that touch my heart, and stuggled with mental illness, could not get the help he needed from disablity, from "the system" that is suppose to help him. "the system" stop his family from being able to help him. He got this drug from his gf who gets to "bring extra doses home on weekends" and killed him with in hours. Stop the madness.
my grandson died with 1600 mg. of methadone in him that he got from friends at the methadone clinic bought right in front of the security guard he passed away on 10/10/09.methadone controls need to be tightened immeadiately
I work with many addicts. Methadone is simply a replacement drug and many people will spend the rest of their lives using methadone because they can get it legally. I can see using it as a step down from herion, however there needs to be stronger regulations on this and these people only need to be given step down dosages while in a program in order to become completely substance free! There also needs to be regulations on Cymboxin! Many of my clients who have been on methadone are now taking cymboxin and are exteremely addicted to it!
My brother passed away 6/9/09 from a female who sold him liguid methadone that she was being given from a Meth Clinic, which continued to give it to her even AFTER they found out what had happened.
Watching my co-worker/friend hear news of her young sons death, was more than enough for me to know that this dangerous drug needs to be removed from the market. PLEASE, don't let the lives this drug has taken be for nothing.
My son passed away less than 24 hours after he was given Methadone by his doctor for pain management. He had hip reconstruction and was waiting on a hip replacement. My sons death could have been avoided!!
My Daughter was perscribed methadone for pain due to MS. She was given six other perscriptions along with it at the same time. i'll name a few. Ambien,soma, and four other powerhouses. She picked up her perscriptions at 4pm on june 19,2006 and was dead at 8pm june 20,2006 of Methadone posining just 28 hours after her first dose.
Dr. denied giving her any scripts. The DEA presented him with the scripts from walmart and suddenly he remembered. He was slaped on the wrist for impropper perscribing and impropper records keeping.DEA said he broke no law. Laywers said no case. med board found no wrong doing.Pharmacy board of Nevada found nothing wrong. A pharmisist I know told me "WERE KILLING PEOPLE" I said "I KNOW YOU KILLED MY DAUGHTER". The whole drug and Medical industry is out of order and something needs to be done about it. stop the doctors from going on there cruises as a perk for pushing meds.Stop giving methadone for pain because it's a cheap drug.TO AN UNSPECTING PERSON IT'S A KILLER.STOOOOOOOOOP.

also niece is on it going to prison she took more then she should my cousin over dosed 3 times the Lord may not give him another chance.. a friend of my son over dosed and died this morning from methadone and opioid please I ask you to close all the clinics down the USA are losing there children to drugs and they can not do anything about it it so private only they can ask for help you see if there mom and dad could have them put in the hospital to dry out this would not have happen..please stop the doctors from giving this to them also take a look how many have passed away in the USA it is said and us as tax payer would have the right to put a stop to keeping us the drug heads it not right for us to do it..I pray all the ones that are on it get help or found Jesus,Amen
