More importantly there are issues that do not affect survival sex working transgender persons as well, as we are not all sex workers or drug addicts. Issues such a proper access to care, insurance refusal to cover us even for common things such as the flu or sinus infections, broken legs, etc....
They can not stop us anymore than they did Dr.M.L.King. The dream is still Alive and well, and one day we will hear the majority echo or words when they soon become the minority. History itself prove's change is inevitable, and we are the survivors. TG
In support of everyone who identifies as transgender, I am not filling out the census question #6 that asks to choose sex as either male or female only.
We know the population of the LGBT community is significant. Their rights must be respected in the allocation of political power and appropiation of funds. The Census is supposed to help our government determine how to work so it should recognize the LGBT community.
I am an American Citizen. I believe that every American is entitled to exactly the same rights.Equal,Identical rights. No matter what. Not special rights, equal rights. With the Census, you can know how many of us you represent. It won't be a guess, it will be fact.
I live with, and I am in love with a transgendered individual who VOTES, LIVES, and BELONGS in the world. It is extremely important she be acknowledged in ANY census the USA takes!
I'm a TS female. Please support us, we need the support of non-transgender advocates, we are the smallest minority, dealing with some of the hardest adversity! If there ever was a case for "affirmative" action, this is it! I too have the audacity of hope!
