National Database on Police Shootings

We demand that the FBI collect this data as a tool to investigate questionable use of deadly force by any law enforcement agency.

The Federal Bureau of Investigations collects vast amounts of information on crime nationwide, with the exception of statistics on where, how often, and under what circumstances police use deadly force. We ask Congress to support legislation that would enact a law that stipulates the FBI (which has the power to conduct civil rights investigations related to any questionable use of deadly force by any law enforcement agency) MUST create a database to track the use of deadly force statistics for law enforcement agency across the nation.
